सूचना का अधिकार टास्क फोर्स — helping citizens use the Right to Information Act, 2005 to demand transparency and access their rights.
The Right to Information Act was implemented by the Government of India on 12 October 2005, giving every citizen a powerful legal tool. Before this Act, people were often forced to make repeated rounds of government offices with no way of knowing why their work was stuck — and were sometimes compelled to pay unofficial "facilitation" charges just to get files moving.
RTI changed that: any citizen can now file a written request asking any department not only to complete stalled work, but to explain in writing exactly why it was delayed. Our Task Force was formed to spread this knowledge to the common person and connect them with the welfare schemes they are rightfully entitled to.
